PRESS RELEASE: A GLOBAL AGENCY RETURNS HOME TO KANSAS CITY

Kansas City Launch600

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 7, 2018) - The Winders Group (TWG) will celebrate the official launch of its virtual marketing agency and the opening of its operations center in downtown Kansas City with a networking event on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pawn & Pint (613 Walnut St, Kansas City, MO).

The Winders Group is a new kind of marketing agency for the gig economy. Working entirely virtually, TWG uses technology, data and a process-driven approach to deliver strategy, content and campaigns to technology brands. Led by technology marketing veteran Tony Winders, TWG is comprised of a core team of full-time employees who assemble and manage virtual teams comprised of dozens of independent marketing professionals around the world.

“In addition to my personal connection to Kansas City, we chose to open a base of operations here because we believe it's one of the hottest up-and-coming marketing and technology centers in the U.S. and we want to be part of its continued growth,” said Winders, founder and CEO of The Winders Group.

The company’s head of operations, former production studio executive Robert Dehn, is based in Kansas City. Other members of the group can be found in Los Angeles, Paris and Bangalore. Its client base includes blockchain real estate leader ShelterZoom, fintech multifamily payment processor Domuso, healthtech platform Transparent Health Marketplace and sustainability blockchain protocol BFlow.

Tony has always had a strong connection to Kansas City. Growing up in Warrensburg, Missouri, he remained there after high school to attend the University of Central Missouri, where he completed an internship at the Heart of America United Way in Kansas City before graduating with his bachelor’s degree in public relations in 1990. Through an introduction from a Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brother, he joined Kansas City native Phil Paladino at his entertainment public relations firm in Los Angeles, and later started one of the first digital agencies in the world, InterActive Agency, Inc. (a.k.a. iAgency) in 1995.

Tony remains connected to the University of Central Missouri as a member of the Professional Advisory Board for its PR program in the Harmon College of Business. TWG has also retained UCM’s student-run agency, Innovative Public Relations, to support the company’s launch and recently UCM awarded the first Anthony Winders Integrated Communications Scholarship to undergraduate PR student Emma Honn.

After holding several corporate marketing roles in the advertising technology field, now Tony has come full circle to create another innovative agency with a vision to shape the future of the outsourced marketing services industry. As he puts it, clients care more about generating results from a trusted partner than where the work is performed. TWG is currently accepting applications for marketing professionals to join “The Group” and offering a free initial consultation for new prospective clients.
